The Lima Group of A Guarda, located in the province of Pontevedra, has entrusted CEB Brétema with the realization of an ambitious construction project: a house made entirely of wood in the town of O Rosal. This project, which stands out for its innovative approach to the use of sustainable materials, promises to redefine the standards of modern architecture in the region.
The site where this unique home will be located is in the process of being developed. Two concrete footings have already been built, which will be essential to support the wooden structure that will be developed on them. What makes this building unique is its structural configuration: the house will be suspended 13 meters in its central area and will reach almost 4 meters in height, an unconventional approach that will offer impressive views and a harmonious integration with the natural environment.
On a technical level, these footings not only serve as anchors for the main structure, but also play essential additional roles. One of them has been designed to incorporate a pool basin, bringing a touch of luxury and functionality to the home. In other areas of the plot, spaces are being allocated for a garage, storage and utility rooms, completing a residential complex that is as functional as it is aesthetically appealing.
The access and internal distribution of the house have been optimized by means of a reinforced concrete staircase, which connects all the rooms. This approach not only ensures durability and structural strength, but also provides a coherent and fluid interior design.
Currently, the project is being developed under the industrialization phase at CEB Brétema's facilities, located in Vigo. It is here that the pre-assembly of the entire structure is being carried out, which involves meticulous planning and efficient use of resources. This industrialized approach not only reduces construction times, but also guarantees a high level of precision and quality, which is typical of this type of building.
The decision to use wood as the main material is based on sustainability and energy efficiency criteria. Wood is a renewable resource that, when properly managed, can significantly reduce the carbon footprint of a building.
