The volume of untreated round timber is determined as follows: the diameter (not the radius) is measured at the top of the log. Measurements are taken in two directions: along the maximum and minimum diameters, then the average value is taken. It is rounded to the nearest even size. The volume of the log is determined based on this value. No other average values should be used. By summing up the volumes of all logs, you will find the total volume of round timber.
