A delegation from Rivne region visited the Spanish city of San Sebastian in the Basque Country within the framework of the European reBUILD program, aimed at developing international partnerships and supporting business. The visit was reported by the Rivne Regional State Administration.
The delegation included representatives of the regional authorities and the Rivne Furniture Cluster. The region’s partner in this cooperation was the Spanish furniture cluster Habic — one of the leading industry associations in Spain. During their stay, participants held B2B negotiations, familiarized themselves with the work of local enterprises and technology centers, and discussed opportunities for launching new joint projects.
The woodworking and furniture industries occupy a strategic place in the economy of Rivne region. According to the regional administration, they provide almost a quarter of the region’s industrial production and 46% of regional exports. That is why the entry of Rivne manufacturers’ products into European markets is one of the key priorities of the region.
Cooperation is already yielding concrete results: within the framework of the reBUILD program, which finances international exchanges and the development of partnerships, Rivne region together with its partners has submitted two joint project applications totaling over 1 million euros.
