In 2024, Ukraine's forestry industry achieved record-breaking results, which demonstrate its stable development and efficient resource management. According to the State Agency of Forest Resources, net revenue from sales reached UAH 23.7 billion, a landmark achievement for the sector.
One of the key success factors was a significant increase in domestic supplies. In 2024, domestic timber supplies amounted to about 12.7 million cubic meters, generating revenue of UAH 23 billion. This figure exceeded last year's results by 0.8 million cubic meters and UAH 2.5 billion. Such developments are important for Ukraine's economy, as they indicate an increase in timber production and sales.
Another aspect that emphasizes the dynamics of development is the increase in the average cost of one cubic meter of timber by 5%, reaching UAH 1,810. This indicates an increase in demand for timber and an improvement in the quality of products offered on the market.
Viktor Smal, Head of the State Agency of Forest Resources, believes that digitalization plays an important role in the successful functioning of the industry. He noted that the introduction of the latest technologies allows for better control of processes in the sector, optimization of logistics, and cost reduction. Effective management of digital tools also contributes to increased transparency and trust in Ukrainian forest products by foreign partners.
Thus, digital innovations not only simplify operational procedures, but also open up new opportunities for expanding markets. This is especially important in the context of global competition, when technology becomes a key success factor.
Thus, thanks to the successful combination of resource management and the introduction of new technologies, the Ukrainian forestry industry continues to strengthen its position in the domestic and foreign markets, demonstrating prospects for further development and innovative solutions.
