Lithuanian company LTF Group is making a strategic leap in the woodworking industry — moving from standard structural products to high-quality, certified and durable products.
«Standard solutions are no longer enough. It was necessary to increase quality and added value while maintaining profitability», — explains company CEO Vaidas Puodžiukas.
LTF Group has invested in modern Italian BIGonDRY equipment for the production of thermally modified wood. The system fully automates temperature and humidity control, ensuring stable physical properties and uniform color. Production capacity already reaches 500 m³ products per month, and the company plans further expansion in the future.
The company has also begun the certification process necessary to enter the US market and is seeking to join the International Thermowood Association.
«The American market requires clear traceability of origin and a high level of product stability. We aim not just to get there, but to become a reliable supplier of European quality», — emphasizes Puojjukas.
LTF Group is expanding its range and now offers thermowood from exotic species — radiata pine from New Zealand and fraké, ayous from Africa. These materials are distinguished by their uniform structure, minimal knots and expressive aesthetics, which makes them popular in architecture, facades and interior design.
Sustainability is one of the company's key priorities. The company has installed a 350 kW solar power plant, which on sunny days fully covers production needs. Thermal modification of wood is carried out without chemical additives — only with the help of steam and heat, which makes the product environmentally friendly and safe.
Thermowood is characterized by high resistance to moisture, temperature changes and biological effects — it does not rot, is not susceptible to pests and retains its shape even in difficult conditions.
«With proper installation, the products can last more than 20 years, remaining stable and natural», — adds the manager.
LTF Group's investments demonstrate a new stage in the development of the Lithuanian woodworking industry — transition from mass-produced construction products to certified, designer materials.
«We want LTF Group to be associated not with scale, but with quality, innovation and sustainability», — concludes Puodziukas.
