Innovative Forest Restoration Platform Launched in Ukraine

Ukraine has launched an innovative online tool — the Forest Restoration Platform, aimed at supporting communities, businesses, and the state in responsibly and scientifically creating new forest areas. This tool is designed to promote the sustainable restoration of forest ecosystems, which is critically important in the context of current environmental challenges.

The initiative was presented by the World Wide Fund for Nature WWF-Ukraine in cooperation with the IT company SoftServe, highlighting the importance of collaboration between environmental organizations and the technology sector to address significant ecological issues in Ukraine. This platform could serve as a benchmark for other countries facing similar challenges.

A distinguishing feature of the platform is its ability to provide step-by-step recommendations, spatial data, and instructions for anyone interested in forest restoration.
