The State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" has announced the first-ever purchase of five harvesters for the care of young forests in the company’s history. This is a significant step in the development of Ukrainian forestry, promising substantial changes in the way forests are managed.
The harvesters planned for purchase are self-propelled multi-functional forestry machines. They are capable of performing several tasks simultaneously, making the process of forest care more efficient and less labor-intensive. This approach will increase productivity and reduce the enterprise’s costs.
The acquisition of harvesters is part of an expanded investment program for 2025, which includes the purchase of equipment worth over 636 million hryvnias. This program is focused on the modernization and technological advancement of Ukraine’s forestry sector. The initiative not only involves acquiring new machinery but also improving existing methods of forest processing and care, which in turn is expected to enhance their resilience and productivity.
Employees of "Forests of Ukraine" note that the new equipment will help implement a greater number of environmentally sustainable projects across various regions of the country, positively impacting the overall ecological balance. Investments in modern equipment will enable more effective responses to challenges related to climate change and shifts in forest structures.
At the same time, the improvement in technical equipment at "Forests of Ukraine" aims to support the development of regions where forestry is a primary source of income. The use of harvesters will reduce the need for heavy manual labor and improve working conditions for local residents.
This initiative can also serve as an example for other industries, demonstrating the importance of investing in innovation and modern technologies to achieve ecological and economic stability.
This is just the beginning of a major program that has the potential to significantly change the way Ukraine manages its natural resources. The prospects promise to be beneficial not only for forestry but also for the overall development of the country’s economy.
