Ukraine Improves Legislation for Transparency in the Timber Market

The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is actively working on improving legislation in the field of the timber market to enhance management and regulation of this sector. This is crucial for sustainable development and market transparency, as clear rules can serve as a foundation for attracting investors and increasing the integrity of participants.

Recently, a meeting was held within the framework of the working group on the formation and implementation of state policy in the forestry, woodworking, and furniture industries of Ukraine. The meeting discussed legislative improvements with representatives of all exchange platforms, businesses, and relevant associations. This ensures broad dialogue and consideration of the interests of all parties, which is critically important for the successful implementation of reforms.

Special attention is being paid to the integration of European standards, as emphasized by the committee chairman Dmytro Natalukha and the head of the working group.
