In the near future, the woodworking enterprise LLC «BR-Wood» will start operating in Bobruisk. The project is positioned as a unique, highly automated plant for Belarus, with the potential to become one of the industry’s flagships in the future.
Currently, commissioning works are being carried out in the production workshops, as reported by the STV channel. All main processes take place indoors, with restricted access; from the outside, one can only observe the sorting of incoming raw materials. The enterprise spans an area of 13 hectares — it is already being referred to as an industrial giant in the woodworking sector.
The production is declared to be a fully closed-loop cycle. All waste — bark, chips, and sawdust — is planned to be reused in further processing. In particular, they will be used as fuel for the plant’s own boiler house, which increases energy efficiency and reduces the environmental impact.
A key feature of «BR-Wood» — is its high level of automation. Each log will undergo analysis using a 3D scanner, creating a so-called «digital portrait» of the wood. The software takes over tasks that were previously done manually: it determines the geometry of the raw material, calculates optimal processing parameters, and suggests the most efficient technological solutions to the operator. According to the report, the software was developed by specialists from Arkhangelsk.
Alongside preparations for the launch, the recruitment of the enterprise’s staff continues: it is reported that there are openings for about 50 more employees. One of the workers noted that he is satisfied with the salary level and work schedule, and also sees opportunities for professional growth.
It is expected that after the completion of commissioning works, the enterprise will move to a full production launch.
