Ukraine has launched a large-scale forestry reform, which is rapidly gaining momentum. The main objectives of this reform are to improve governance and efficiency in the sector, combat illegal logging, and promote the timber market. Given that Ukraine's forests cover more than 10 million hectares, this reform is not only a key to economic growth, but also an important step towards environmental protection.
The ongoing military operations on the territory of Ukraine have negative consequences not only for agricultural land but also for its forests. The main areas of cooperation are improving management practices, introducing modern technologies, and protecting the environment. These are the steps that both parties believe will help not only preserve but also increase Ukraine's natural resources.

The European partners are ready to support Ukraine in training and implementation of new technologies, as well as in the fight against illegal logging, which remains a problem in many regions.
