Gironde Company Ademeure Placed in Judicial Liquidation in Langon

Short: The Gironde-based company Ademeure, located in Langon and a laureate of France 2030, has been placed in judicial liquidation at the end of the year. The construction crisis, withdrawal of banks, and rising costs have led to 24 layoffs and significant debts.

The downfall is confirmed for the Gironde-based company Ademeure. Supported a few years ago under the France 2030 plan and received at the Élysée for its modular wooden house project, the company has been placed in judicial liquidation at the end of this year, despite recent national visibility.

Based for the past three years in the former Airbus warehouses in Langon, south of Gironde, Ademeure could not withstand the crisis hitting the construction sector. The procedure unfolded quickly, resulting in liquidation within a few weeks.

Immediate consequence: 24 employees have been laid off, including 21 on permanent contracts (CDI) and 3 on fixed-term contracts (CDD).

The closure of the company leaves behind numerous unresolved issues: undelivered projects, unpaid subcontractors, and debts estimated at several million euros. Beyond the numbers, the situation has a significant human impact on both employees and clients.

According to several observers, Ademeure fell victim to a "scissors effect": a collapse in the construction market, the gradual withdrawal of banks, and a sharp increase in the cost of raw materials, particularly wood. This sudden reversal put an end to a trajectory that had until then been presented as promising.

At this stage, no buyer has come forward before the Bordeaux Commercial Court. Some industry players are reportedly waiting for the complete liquidation and debt clearance before considering a partial resumption of operations. This option remains open.

From Langon to the national stage, the liquidation of Ademeure highlights the growing difficulties of a construction sector in crisis, with significant economic and social consequences for the region.
