Boisseau group invests one million euros to boost its Botz-en-Mauges industrial site

Short: Boisseau is investing in a modern workshop dedicated to wood construction to strengthen its position in the face of a difficult economy and materials challenges.

The Boisseau family group recently announced a significant investment of one million euros to improve its industrial site at Botz-en-Mauges, in the Maine-et-Loire region. This strategic decision is part of Boisseau's drive to strengthen its position in the wood construction market, despite the unfavorable economic climate affecting the construction sector as a whole.

As part of this modernization, a new 600-square-meter building has been erected to house a workshop specifically dedicated to wood construction. This modern, optimized space enables the company to manufacture products with advanced technical features, such as large panels, timber-framed walls and facades with integrated door and window frames. The Boisseau Group has thus chosen to place innovation at the heart of its growth strategy, relying on cutting-edge technologies to offer construction solutions that are both advanced and respectful of the environment.

The workshop is designed to meet the growing needs of the market for sustainable wood construction. Thanks to high-tech equipment and sophisticated manufacturing techniques, the company can now offer architecturally precise products that meet the expectations of architects and developers keen to reduce the building's carbon footprint.

This initiative comes at a particularly tense economic time for the construction sector in France. Fluctuating raw material prices and shortages of certain building materials are posing serious challenges for companies. However, the Boisseau Group is betting that investment in greener, more efficient construction technologies will give it greater resilience in the face of these challenges.

The new workshop project is also closely linked to the failure of a previous initiative, known as Boisseau Hors Site. This innovative project, launched in 2020, aimed to revolutionize modular construction by prefabricating homes in a factory, thereby reducing on-site assembly time and the associated environmental nuisance.

Modular homes were to rival traditional construction in cost, while enabling rapid installation, typically in just one or two days. Although this concept did not come to fruition as hoped, it nevertheless laid the foundations for new approaches in which the Group intends to capitalize on the knowledge acquired.

By investing in this wood construction workshop, the Boisseau Group aims to reposition itself in a buoyant market segment and capitalize on current trends in favor of ecological and sustainable architecture. With this initiative, the company is demonstrating its determination to anticipate market trends and offer innovative construction solutions for the future.
