The central theme of the roadshow focuses on the sustainable management of wood as a raw material. Through a series of meetings to be held throughout Italy, Conlegno wants to promote not only the enhancement of Italy's forestry heritage, but also the proper use of wood to ensure the preservation of biodiversity. The first of the meetings is scheduled for March 28, 2025, in Carlentini, in the province of Syracuse.
Conlegno's initiative is not simply an invitation to reflect on the future availability of wood; it is also a call for the valorization of Italy's "green mines." This term is intended to refer to those woods in the country that are currently not fully exploited and whose potential remains vastly underutilized.
