As part of the 10th International Woodworking Industry Congress held on September 11 in Poznan (Poland), the Association of Woodworking Enterprises of Ukraine's head, Pavlo Vasiliev, and representatives of the Polish Association of Woodworkers signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. This move opens up a lot of opportunities for future cooperation between Ukrainian and Polish woodworkers and expands the range of joint projects.
The General Assembly "ADPU" was established in 2022 to promote and protect the interests of the woodworking and forestry industries represented by 85 members throughout Ukraine, making it the largest organization of these industries' representatives in the country. Member enterprises of the GS provide over 12,000 jobs annually and process more than 1.5 million cubic meters of wood, with the product being sold in over 35 countries worldwide.
The Association has signed Memorandums of Cooperation with the Austrian Association of the Woodworking Industry and the Association of Woodworkers of Turkey, and in June 2023, the Council of Experts of FOREST EUROPE will grant ADPU observer status in Dresden.
The GS "Association of woodworking enterprises of Ukraine" seeks to create a convenient environment for wood stakeholders when buying or selling resources through a Telegram bot launched in September 2022, enabling individuals to create applications for the purchase or sale of lumber, raw wood, fuel products, and navigate the market by observing prices and trends.
