From September 12 to 15, 2023, the DREMA International Exhibition of Machines, Tools and Components for the Woodworking and Furniture Industry will be held in Poznan, Poland. It is one of the leading world exhibitions dedicated to the woodworking industry and the only event in Poland recommended by the EUMABOIS federation.
DREMA is an event that combines the offerings of leading companies in the industry with the energy of meeting, sharing ideas and knowledge from numerous shows and conferences held in one space. It is a showcase of the Polish woodworking and furniture industry, as well as an arena for establishing and maintaining international business relations
During DREMA 2023, visitors will be able to see robots, advanced systems and solutions to save energy and raw materials, spectacular shows that will demonstrate equipment in action, and take part in hands-on workshops, competitions and discussion panels.
During the crisis, many companies seek to save, without giving up further growth. Can these two elements be combined together? The September meeting will provide a platform to discuss the challenges faced by companies working in the woodworking industry in the context of staff shortages, raw material shortages and supply problems, or increasing efficiency through the use of automation and robotics in production processes. It is also a place for Polish and world leaders to share their experience of using digital solutions and modern tools, as well as an opportunity to talk with experts about how to counter current problems in a practical sense.
"In order to function effectively in the industry and keep pace with economic realities, domestic companies must develop and invest in innovation, taking advantage of the demand for Polish furniture. That is why, in order to increase competitiveness, both on the domestic and foreign markets, it is necessary to introduce new technologies into production, to increase the comfort of work, to increase the efficiency and flexibility of production," explains Andrzej Polrolniczak, director of the DREMA exhibition.
This year, at DREMA 2023, the sixteenth exhibition of furniture production will take place, which will once again be held under the slogan DREMA Children for Ukraine.
The purpose of the event is the presentation of the latest furniture production technologies using automated and robotic processes, which is combined with the noble aspect of the event - the manufactured children's furniture will be given to the most needy children from orphanages in Ukraine.
DREMA for Children is a charity event organized by the Association of Manufacturers of Woodworking Machines, Devices and Tools DROMA, the Faculty of Forestry and Woodworking of the Poznań University of Natural Sciences, and the MTP Group. Many partners take part in the event - companies that provide the necessary materials, machines and tools, as well as students who are responsible for the entire production process at the furniture demonstration factory.
The production plan includes the production of 100 sets of furniture for a children's room, including a bed with a mattress and a wardrobe. During the production of furniture, it is planned to present the latest solutions related to the automation and robotics of technological processes, which fit into the concept of "Industry 4.0". Furniture production will include the process of processing furniture boards, edge facing, surface treatment of wooden elements, fitting of accessories, packaging of furniture parts and preparation for shipment, including warehouse logistics.
The "DREMA Children" campaign is not only a promotional campaign for partners. Demonstration production of furniture is an arena of practical skills for students and, above all, a noble cause.
Representatives of the furniture industry will certainly be interested in the 8th Polish Furniture Congress "Polish Furniture - Competitive Poland". It is an annual event organized by the Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Furniture Manufacturers, which points out the directions of change in the industry, the future challenges and the strategies best suited to overcome them. Leaders of both leading furniture companies and young, dynamic enterprises take part in the Congress. They are united by interest in effective business development. During the Congress, which is considered the most important meeting of the furniture industry, important and relevant topics for the furniture industry will be discussed.
Experts will discuss threats to Polish furniture exports from Asian manufacturers. They will also give advice on where to look for real competitive advantages over them - should you bet, and if so, to what extent, on design, quality, certification, ecology or brand?
Automation and robotization of production and logistics processes is the future of the furniture industry. During the Congress, participants will learn what its implementation looks like in companies, as well as how to use digitalization in marketing and sales and in building relationships with customers.
Strategies for difficult times will also be discussed - examples of companies and brands that resist the recession. During the meeting, the audience learns that challenges are also opportunities that, if spotted and used in time, can provide an impetus for development.
The publishing house "Faktor" in cooperation with the organizers of the DREMA exhibition is preparing TRENDY 2024 - a special design space where registered companies will present interesting technical solutions, current design trends and the best products in the field of furniture accessories, materials and furniture semi-finished products.
The purpose of the TRENDY 2024 exposition is to create a creative meeting place and exhibition space for companies in the furniture industry, which demonstrates design and the latest developments in the field of furniture design (plates, fabrics, accessories). Furniture components will once again be presented at the exhibition in a new, attractive form, which arouses interest among carpentry and furniture companies.
"Rising raw material prices, broken supply chains, environmental protection, inflation are just some of the challenges facing the woodworking and furniture industry, which affect both large-scale production and micro-enterprises. In cooperation with our exhibitors, industry associations and media partners, we organize the exhibition space and shape the event program in such a way that DREMA sets the direction for the development of the industry and comprehensively presents the latest global technological and technical solutions. DREMA 2023 is a response to market demand and, at the same time, a place where you can familiarize yourself with the latest trends in the woodworking and furniture industry," emphasizes the director of DREMA.
The presented events are only a part of everything that will take place during the DREMA exhibition. Of course, there will also be traditional events: Parquet Zone with parquet master classes, Training Skills Training Ground, DREMA Tools, Clean Air Zone, exhibition of competitive exhibits "Enchanted with Wood", XXII Polish Nail Driving Championship and Tools Saloon.
