The Ukrainian Energy Exchange (UEB) plays a key role in ensuring the stability of the wood market, actively monitoring the execution of contracts between the parties. For this purpose, the UEB has introduced a monitoring system that includes consultations, resolution of disputed issues, support of current contracts and control over the transfer of wood to buyers.
A specialized analytical module was introduced to analyze data on contract execution. Statistics for the first two decades of the III quarter show that the fulfillment of contracts reached 25.1%. The Volyn region is particularly noteworthy with a performance rate of 28%.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast with 27%, Zhytomyr Oblast with 26%, and Kyiv and Ivano-Frankivsk Oblasts have a figure of 24%. SE "Forests of Ukraine" implemented a significant amount of the resource, achieving an overall performance rate of 25%.
Communal forestry farms sold 2,293,057 m3 of wood, of which 29.1% have already been shipped to buyers. Other sellers shipped 47.1% of the realized volume, which indicates high activity on the market.
The Metropolitan Forestry Office was the leader in timber sales, shipping 24.8% of the total volume. The Polissky forest office shipped 27.6% of its sales, and the Podilskyi — 23.3%. In general, the activity of these offices contributes to maintaining a high general level of contract execution.
According to the Deputy General Director of UEB Kostyantyn Shevchuk, the performance of contracts on the stock exchange shows positive dynamics, which is the result of the responsible attitude of market participants and the systematic work of UEB. The indicator of the overall execution of contracts in the second quarter exceeded 90%, which is an excellent result.
